I've been pretty critical of JAZZA's animated series, PALADIN, but I don't hate JAZZA, like people think. I must come off that way because I'm bugged at the amount of effort he put into it for what it turned out to be. It's the same way I react to Spider-Man 3; it could have been epic, but small issues crush the support beams and make the effort meaningless. That's all. Sorry, JAZZA. Bros fo' life, bitches.

Well i think that professional or not, it shouldnt really be a reason for someone to be less or more critical. Some peoples personalities are just of the more critical kind, in a way the feedback that you take the most from is usually the one thats the most critical. Well from my standpoint.
Anyway I think artists have to be pretty thick skinned to survive here at ng and in the business in general. I dont think Jared should have to defend himself for it.
GEE THANKS LUIS, now I have to come back and amend my comment with a new one. Not that you're saying *I* was telling him that his heavily critical standpoint was wrong (because I wasn't). I was actually referencing what he said in his previous post:
"Still, the fact that I'm reviewing it more like a true series and less like a flash cartoon shows that it is still one of the more complete series on Newgrounds, which is a fair accomplishment."
Just wanted to make sure no one thinks I am saying it's wrong to have a strong opinion about something, yes?

It's good. I wanted to know what people thought, because people have been sending me instant messages, thinking I'm an asshole.
One of the reasons I have been kind of critical is because I had actually talked to JAZZA, critiquing some things I thought he could fix in the following installments, and I was kind of balked at, like he didn't need pointers.
We're totally screwed for this, I can already tell.
He probably balked because he just didn't want it? Or didn't know how to improve upon the areas you brought up. *shrug* You did try though. To bad there were a bunch of pussy's bashing you for critiquing JAZZA's work.

I think maybe that's the problem, that you see it as a professional attempt when really JAZZA is just a guy who's doing what he loves to do?
Heh, remember that Time Squad nightmare of mine? Not only did the characters look inhuman, but they would often change form entirely from camera shot to camera shot. But it was never supposed to be more than a fun project, so it doesn't get a lot of flak.
Worst case, he's certainly improved his art style from previous episodes, yes?
