Radical

The presentation of this tour was quite impressive. There was a lot of personalized name animations, which was very cool. I was happy to see that the overall quality of submissions went up. I hope I get into the 2009 one as well.

A deep and entertaining game

It takes a while to really engulf the player in its mechanics, but once it does it's very enjoyable. There's so much to do in it. I had to stop to write this review, and I was still coming upon new things. This game is a great accomplishment, especially for a first-time programmer.

I like to think that if this weren't my first game, I'd be spat upon for failing the Flash gaming genre in general. That's the only way I can get any sleep these days. :O

An impressive tribute

I was impressed with how well put together this tribute game was. For a short little game, it was well plotted out and designed. The vertical section was a bit irritating, though, because I got hurt and thrown down for being at the top of the screen or something. I didn't quite get why I was being damaged.

One thing I wasn't sure about was MindChamber's visual take on the Madness characters. The environments and stuff looked great, but his contorted and scratchy looking characters didn't fit as well for Krinkels' originals.

Anyway, overall a fun game. I hope to see more of this quality from the remainder of Madness Day.

A creative little game

The game was very enjoyable, but a had a lot of slowdown when I did a lot of shooting at once. The graphics fit the theme very well. Every time I died was either from a weird hiccup in which I'd bounce against a wall several times harder than I should have, or because I was using a laptop finger pad. The latter is nobody's fault but my own. The former confuses me. It seemed to multiply the force of my bounce unexpectedly every once in a while, within the same level.

The ending felt sort of like a cop-out. Only the last two levels seemed fitted to provide new challenge on the way back. The rest were just too easy.

Overall, though, very nice job. For me, this goes into that group of unique small-scale game experiences that promote creative design. If a sequel addresses the flaws, it would be great.

Can't get past level 10

A very fun, simple physics-based game. Very cool.

A flawed game

This game is hardly one, as it involves occasionally clicking right or left when you meet a wall. On top of that, the game crashed itself roughly a minute in. On the lowest settings, it got maybe 15 seconds further. It felt like playing a clogging artery simulator, where each newly spawned character just gobbled up more memory. I'm guessing this is some shoddy ActionScript or something. This feels like an incomplete game that should have used more error fixing.

It's unfortunate because it looks pretty cool. The characters on-screen are pretty goofy and neatly shaped, and the fire effects are pretty nice. But the fact that it's rendered unplayable only a little bit in can't be ignored.

Glitches hamper down the fun

I failed a mission about halfway through, and then the remaining levels still took away money for failing the missions I had just accomplished on the first try. Otherwise, it's a fun game. The menu system could use a little tweaking, and the game is pretty short, but shooting is very satisfying to do. I will probably play it again, which is always a good sign coming from someone like me.

Gets annoying fast

It isn't even fun once you get to #11. It's just really annoying. I had no desire to complete it after about a minute of it. It becomes less of an entertaining escape and more of a chore.

Very well-made game

The game mechanics were very good, especially for a flash game. There was a lot of depth in terms of leveling and stuff, even though it was essentially Diablo II. I'm not sure how much credit you deserve or your programmer in that sense, though. The storyline was, still, very cheesy, but it didn't affect the game at all. only one point was docked at all, which was due to both a lack of originality in terms of the abilities and stuff -- copying a game that did it right does not mean you deserve to be praised for it, too -- and some occasional issues with the enemies getting stuck on things and becoming hard to get to and kill (this is probably rare). Overall, impressively done for a flash game.

I clicked on the credits button

It means I care.

I like to draw and complain about stuff.
