One of my new favorites, now

I'm going to add this to my list. I haven't seen a cartoon as funny and original as this in a long time. I wished it ended a little different, but the second ending made up for it. The graphics looked like the rest of your stuff, but moved incredibly well. The sound worked perfectly. Very nicely done.

Yeah

I heard they gave the designer like £400,000 for that logo (which is probably like $800,000; I'm not sure, England can fuck me). The first time I saw it, I couldn't read it. It looks like 2-BLOB, ARROW-Z. I give this a ten because I agree.

Wow, the quality

I'm really impressed with this episode. Looking back at the first episodes especially. The animation is so nice, and the character design is fantastic now. I loved the drawn environments. I had to give a 9, though, because in the first minute or so of this cartoon, there was those poor filtered photos (not the opening credits ones) that I wished would have gone Dodo. Other than that, this whole episode shined in every field. Very nice job. It depresses me to like how shitty my cartoons still look. I hope you make another mini-movie, Mr. Swain.

The-Swain responds:

Do you mean the one of the outside of his house? Because I have redrawn his house many many times myself, mostly in Time Squad, but the photoshop house is a staple. There are a lot of things I wanted to change about the cartoon, but opening on a JPG rendering of Blockhead's house is something I will never, ever let go :( To me, getting rid of that would be like...getting rid of the Conscience.

And worry not, if you want to see a crappy cartoon, watch my Episode 1 again! Funny maybe, but so poorly drawn that I'm almost embarrassed about it. But it's a necessary step to getting better at the whole animation racket, trust me.

Great stuff

The animation was great, though lilmited. The art style was nice, clean, and colorful. The use of Link's "voice" worked very well. I only wish that it was a bit longer. I wanted to see more.

Weird

I always feel confused when Lokken cartoons come to an end.

JeremyLokken responds:

They sometimes trail off into something different from the start of the cartoon.

I hear you are making 24-hour flash cartoons? Which ones?

Looks great

The achievements made with flash and other programs here is impressive, and the audio quality stands out, but this is otherwise painful and annoying. It's about as funny as the bad episodes of Thundercats, and this cat seems to be a cross between Meowth and Snarf, neither of which are fun to listen to. The cartoon, if it was for comedy, was unable to even crack me a grin. Aside from the great animation, I cannot see anyone watching this more than once. I hope another installment is funnier -- or at least less slow-paced and unexciting, as anime usually is -- and has this level of animation.

Nice job

I definately like the artwork a lot more than College University's. Funny stuff. The only thing that bugged me was that the dialogue sounded as though the people were being recorded in like a closet or something. Aside from that, great. I want more.

Looks great

This cartoon visually succeeded in all ways: impressive, bumping animation; happy pastel colors; neat, child-like character design; Brackenwood-reminiscent scenery, and so on. Nothing really happened, though. I still thought it was a great showcase. This is the kind of stuff Newgrounds was missing in March.

I like to draw and complain about stuff.
