Obnoxious movement

A big sticking point with the flow of this game is the movement. If I barely tap in a direction, I'm oftentimes nudged much farther over than it necessary, forcing me to repeat the level an instant after it began. It's not that the challenge of this game comes from the split-second timing or the robustness of each level, but from controls that often disobey your necessary input.

Wonky movement hinders this game

There was a lot of trouble with simply nudging anywhere, and jumping straight up on springboards. The game was neat in concept and for the most part in execution, but the quirks with the way your character moves and responds to input made challenging platforms annoying and somewhat insulting.

Entertaining concept

The idea is humorous and the point is well warranted, but the execution is tiring, which might itself be an intentional process, but it is also boring. The art was nice.

Very much worth finishing

This game is two weeks away from complete. It's so close its quality is already delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the light mechanics, and would be greatly satisfied to see them fleshed out and incorporated into a more complete package. The critical response to your unfinished game is a resounding proof of concept.

A ton of fun

This game does a great job at establishing a very simple mechanic and piling on more complexity to the level design. This game surely isn't getting the views it deserves, as it's one of the more polished and complete flash games I've played in some time. The only thing I feel it's missing is medals. If medals were added onto this game, I'd make sure I got every one of them. But even as it is now, it's a great little game that has a lot of fun to be had, and deserves a bigger audience.

A fun, challenging time-waster

While it took very little time to complete this game, I had a lot of fun with it. I was able to collect all but two of its medals, but getting a gold on all of the levels would surely test someone's skills.

As for presentation, it was what it needed to be, though I'm kind of getting tired of the 8bit stuff with the rise of Flixel's popularity and whatnot. The beatboxing was good initially, but grew fairly annoying by the end. The straightforwardness of everything is what really kept me playing. Fun stuff!

Great concept

Bad bug testing. I know I sound like a broken record based on all the other reviews, but I find it surprising that this bug wasn't caught when it appears 100% of reviewers have experienced this literally game-breaking flaw. The concept is creative, the controls are intuitive, and the graphics are serviceable. The game is just... broken.

A very interesting little game

The very charming art, music, and general atmosphere lends itself well to the simple yet intelligent puzzles of each level. The controls were tight and simple, and the game is forgiving enough to failure that I didn't get flustered and storm away from it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Though, I wish it incorporated the Newgrounds Medals system.

Pretty fun stuff

Art style was cool, but pretty familiar. Spacebar-for-everything design is annoying. Pressing the up arrow and having the barbarian launch forward is stupid. Levels were very brief. Overworld map could use some work. Boss fights were obnoxious.
This game needs a lot of work, but it shows signs of potential for an even better sequel.

An enjoyable little game

I would have liked to see it incorporate NG's medals, but that's okay.
Overall, the game was fun, if a little easy. The visuals were acceptable, but nothing stellar or original. The control was simple and the design was straightforward. Overall, it's competent, but not much more.

I like to draw and complain about stuff.
