Another promising cartoon

Though these don't seem all that long, they manage to get the job done and are still well told and well drawn. I really liked the animation of the blood on the Care Bear. I know it's a simple bit of animation, but for some reason it stuck in my head.

Great stuff. I'm pumped to see where this series goes.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

thanks, no where near half way yet!

I'm pumped for the next one

All this guy's cartoons are awesome, and this one is no different. The Care Bear stuff had surprisingly little to do with anything. Whether everyone likes this cartoon or not, it's worth watching for the painted image of the bear and the fish at the end.

Great stuff.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

glad you liked it!

Not funny

This cartoon was very underwhelming. I was hoping for some entertaining Metal Gear stuff. Instead, I got some really poor voice-acting, sub-par and overly tweeny graphics, and some not very funny plays on the same joke. On top of that, there's so much on the front-end of this thing, that it takes forever to actually see the cartoon.

Shadowii2 responds:

Everyone might not like the same jokes and that's the common fact.
I don't think is the best I can do for Metal Gear short story-wise in my opinion too though.

Oh well, thanks for your opinions!

Offers little on advice or technique

The "how-to" instructions featured in this tutorial give little assistance in learning how to draw the human body. In addition, they're inaccurate in many cases. The only thing I felt was done well was the face part, which seemed to just instruct on picking features out of a line-up, offering very little to viewers other than the art of mimicking the shapes shown.

Aside from all of that, the tutorial was set up in a very amateur-feeling way; they were simply slides with buttons that cycled through even the pre-loader. I'm not trying to be so rough, but I think that if you're making a tutorial, you should give the viewers accurate information and details, and produce what little there is in an attractive manner.

skarl3tte responds:

Technically I AM an ameteur... so yeah.... It's not like I normally teach people to draw... being in 9th grade and all.... But anyways. I personally think that there isn't a "right way" to draw, though obviously there are right and wrong on proportions and such. I guess what I'm trying to say is that this tutorial showed what I personally find helpful. This is what I think about when I draw. It's not entirely intended for beginners, and it's not entirely correct, yes, but this is what I THINK about. Maybe this is not the best example of a good picture on which I used these techniques, but it was a quick tutorial, and I was getting tired of editing each of 30-some odd frames over and over again.

I realized after I submitted this that viewers would probably want to "learn" how to draw from this. I wanted people to use this tutorial how I use tutorials - take small parts that I like from many tutorials and put them together in my work. People need to realize that you learn from experience, not from tutorials.

So anyways. You're right, but I felt like I had to explain. Sorry about my little rant.

This is how I feel every time

It seemed unnecessary for this to be an "Awesome" cartoon. It seems as though any fast-paced video-game parody now is "Awesome," but it was very entertaining nonetheless. It's pretty much exactly how I feel whenever I play this game. Hans did a great job with the voice.

Oney responds:

thanks man!

Holy crap

I don't get it. Awesome.

xtil responds:

i'll never let you down cuz i'm a bee

What just happened?

I don't understand what I just saw, but it had Great White Shark, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Robotic Ant/Wasp?, and Kitten heads set afloat by propellers. That's all good enough for me.

Scythemantis responds:

They were originally my idea for a toy line of animals who's heads would fly off when you pulled a string, like those little helicopter toys. Those are great!!!

Pretty good stuff

I'm glad to see FFXII get recognition for out-doing Squall as gayest Final Fantasy main character The jokes and writing was pretty good, but it felt like you were trying a lot. Most of the art was decent, though some of it really could have used some improvement.

The only thing I really hated was how hardcore you butchered the word palette. It made me want to cry.

Bobert-Rob responds:

...I butchered the word palette? I had no idea. You mean in pronounciation or what? Sorry if it bothered you that much... but whatever, nothing's perfect. Thanks for the review!

Good stuff

Nice animation and artwork -- very clean and colorful -- and a very interesting constant "action cam" made this otherwise standard cartoon pop. Some of the subs went by faster than I'd have hoped, but I didn't sit through it for the story. Good stuff.

Nightwayfarer responds:

thanks

Good collections returning?

We haven't seen good collaborations here on Newgrounds for a long time, and now this and PMF2 come out on the same day? Crazy. Most of the clips were very well done. A few looked less-than-stellar, but the overall package made up for it. Good stuff, folks.

squeakytoad responds:

Haha, yeah, I'm stabbing Luis at the next Comic Con for doing that to me.

Man, you should've joined this collab. Would've been great having you on. Looks like you also need something to get you back into animating.

Glad you liked it. Thanks man!

I like to draw and complain about stuff.
