Awesome

Hilarious stuff. I especially liked Chocolate Man's voice in his head. Great stuff. Favorite'd.

Thank you very much sir.
I like your animations as well.

Wow, the quality

I'm really impressed with this episode. Looking back at the first episodes especially. The animation is so nice, and the character design is fantastic now. I loved the drawn environments. I had to give a 9, though, because in the first minute or so of this cartoon, there was those poor filtered photos (not the opening credits ones) that I wished would have gone Dodo. Other than that, this whole episode shined in every field. Very nice job. It depresses me to like how shitty my cartoons still look. I hope you make another mini-movie, Mr. Swain.

The-Swain responds:

Do you mean the one of the outside of his house? Because I have redrawn his house many many times myself, mostly in Time Squad, but the photoshop house is a staple. There are a lot of things I wanted to change about the cartoon, but opening on a JPG rendering of Blockhead's house is something I will never, ever let go :( To me, getting rid of that would be like...getting rid of the Conscience.

And worry not, if you want to see a crappy cartoon, watch my Episode 1 again! Funny maybe, but so poorly drawn that I'm almost embarrassed about it. But it's a necessary step to getting better at the whole animation racket, trust me.

Weird

I always feel confused when Lokken cartoons come to an end.

JeremyLokken responds:

They sometimes trail off into something different from the start of the cartoon.

I hear you are making 24-hour flash cartoons? Which ones?

Nothing happened

Guy gets dog, guy runs with dog, dog dies, box defies physics and sinks into the ground, the end. Nothing provoked any thought or emotion, nothing interesting happened, nothing made me feel like watching that was a good use of my time. The animation was okay, but the visuals were too simple and messy looking.

Cool, lengthy cartoon

The art was kind of sloppy, but was animated/tweened well. Pretty funny cartoon. It wasn't ridiculous humor like most of NG's toons, but it worked better for how long it was. Dean was funny. Great job. I'd like to see more in the future.

ExcellentFriends responds:

Art-wise, we were going for more of a dynamic sort of "thats fun to look at" instead of the standard smooth flash-y "that looks like windows icons" look.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Dude

I love you, Jeremy. So this is what you were talking about (Showmageddon)? Awesome. I want to get involved. Hilarious, random cartoon. It's nice to see something of yours that isn't so artsy (Monster in the Mansion). See you around.

JeremyLokken responds:

This is what I was talking about. It's just one skit out of the show. The show wasn't picked up by the station we were originally going for, so onto others. I should probably put credits on it, Adam wrote this one, I just animated and directed it. Steven voiced it. Lots more to come! :)

Way better than I expected

When the first scene started, my expectations were pretty low. Seconds later, it was one of the funniest submissions in recent memory. Very awesome, very original, very fresh. Thanks. I can't wait to see more. The space stuff looked particularly nice.

Gobi responds:

" seconds later" that made my day (:

What the hell was that?

I clicked on it, going, "Bubba Ho-Tep was sweet. I wonder if this will be any good." I was wrong.

SunChipsClock responds:

Don't cry baby girlll.

Neat, but needs more

It was a pretty cool interpretation of the NG Portal system, but I think it needed more to it. It was fairly short and didn't show us enough of the physical realm of the Portal. Still, though. It looked pretty nice and ran smoothly. Overall, a nice job.

Masonogy1 responds:

Thanks alot! Hmmm people saying this is short, it seems to run longer than quite a few movies submited on NG? Hmm, perhaps its the story line?

Thanks anyways!

Good, except

A lot of the animation looked like it was either traced atop a real video clip or over Poser animation, particularly the movement of the guy's face in the closing shot. Still, it looks nice, if messy. Overall, pretty good.

Alamus responds:

Hahah! Well, there were some rotoscoped parts. The legs of the two men running, and the girl turning and running away. As well as the hand that clenches shut in the KIN trailer PART 1.

As for the guy at the ending shot, that was not a poser model. It was my 3D model I made in 3D max for my advanced modeling class in college. I just skinned his head to a simple skeleton and just animated his head and moved the camera. I don't really like poser, I like making all my models and animating them from scratch. If you go to my DA site, you'll see the 3D model sheets of that particular character, but without textures. I didn't have time to texture him for the class...good thing it was only a modeling class. :D

And thank you for your comment.

I like to draw and complain about stuff.
